Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules, policies, and obligations that apply when booking and staying at The Pocklington. By making a booking, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse a booking at our discretion.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Standard check-in time is from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival.
  • Check-out time is by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional charges.

3. Guest Responsibility

  • Guests must provide accurate information during booking.
  • The named guest on the reservation is responsible for the conduct of all members of the booking party.
  • Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.

4. Damage & Smoking Policy

  • Guests are strictly prohibited from smoking inside the apartments.
  • Any smoking-related damage, including odors, burns, or cleaning beyond standard housekeeping, will result in a charge of up to £1000.
  • Guests will be liable for the cost of repairs, replacements, or additional cleaning caused by negligence or damage during their stay.

5. Noise & Disturbance

  • Guests must respect other residents and neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
  • Parties or events are strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • A full refund will be issued for cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable.
  • However, in such cases, the booking may be rebooked to alternative dates, subject to availability.*

7. Liability

  • The Pocklington is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
  • Guests are advised to ensure their own travel insurance is in place.

8. Right to Refuse Service

  • We reserve the right to refuse check-in or terminate a stay without refund if guests fail to comply with these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or cause disturbance/damage.

9. Health & Safety

  • Guests must follow all fire safety and building regulations.
  • Emergency exits and equipment must not be obstructed or tampered with.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

By confirming your booking at The Pocklington, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
